Gazelle directed by Houshang Golmakani. After mysterious apprehension, disappearance of her fiancée, Farhad, a young sculptor named Parvaneh moves to a house in a far-flung corner in the north of Iran. The few occupants of this area all seem to have moved here from somewhere else, each carrying their own secrets, and she lives with the hope of some news from him even though she is not even sure if he is still alive. The only thing that makes her happy is reading Farhad’s favorite books, which she records and publishes as audio books. A call from a friend as well as the local gallerist informs Parvaneh that some people have been looking for her. At the end, Farhad comes to where Parvaneh lives. It is unclear how much time has passed and what he has been through, but by the time he gets to Parvaneh’s house – as a metaphor for the homeland – the place is an empty ruin, covered in dust.

He holds a degree in electrical engineering, but his true passion lies in filmmaking, which serves as his second language. Unfortunately, due to his filmmaking activities, he has faced numerous arrests, with the most recent occurring in 2022 in relation to his latest film.
