el amigo de los pobres The poor’s friend directed by Jose Javier Fuentes Alvarado

A moving short documentary that chronicles the inspiring life of Cipriano González, a local hero from Toledo, Spain, whose dedication to those most in need transformed the community over nearly seven decades. From his humble birth in Mensalbas in 1936 during the outbreak of the Spanish civil war, to the founding of the NGO Socorro de los Pobres, this documentary weaves an emotional story of altruism and unconditional love. Through intimate interviews with family members, NGO volunteers, and those whose lives were touched by his generosity, the film delves into the heart of a man who, moved by his own experience with poverty, vowed that “no one will care.” There was a plate of food missing from the table.”

It is the story of a young boy who has lost an arm in the war trying to help his superior who has decided to commit suicide. He is at home in the middle of winter with an ex-combatant's salary that the government gives him that is not enough to rent a room and be able to eat. One day he goes out into the open and walks through the forest thinking about the war and the consequences it has left on other ex-combatants, he spends the night outside with his thoughts and wakes up frozen to death from the cold. The short film begins with images of the Serra de Tramontana completely covered in snow and then immediately gives way to seeing the ex-combatant dressed in civilian clothes wandering through the forest lost in his thoughts (we see images of the First World War, images from YouTube) and immediately afterwards we see images of former soldiers and the consequences that the First World War has left on them (YouTube images). The poem that appears in the short film is by an English author named Wilfred Owen, who died in the First World War, the translation by Jordi Fité. The book is titled War Poems and the poem is called Malalts Mentals (in English: Mental Cases). The music is free, taken from an internet page. Everything that appears in the short film is designed so that you do not have to pay any copyright fees since the things are either free or their authors have been dead for more than 70 years.

Meet Judith Butler directed by Wanxing Meng
Initially, I'd like to do a performance with my friend Kim, who's passionate about being a drag queen. So I wanted to stage a meeting between him and Judith Butler, perhaps with one of us playing the role of Judith. But while I was looking for a location, I found a very beautiful place to film a movie, so I changed my mind and decided to make a movie. I was a bit wary because I've made two films, but these are completely different, with more people and sounds than before. Drag queens, an important part of the world's population, are somewhere in between male and female. I also wonder if a word can build so much. In this short film, this boy is dressing up as a drag queen, he meets a woman called Judith Butler, she talks to him, asks a few questions and asks him if he can give her some make-up. He agrees. Finally, she says she's going to write a book for him. This process takes place in the public toilets, where there are three floors with three different lights to express the boy's states. When he looks in the mirror, what's left?

Awakening every day, accompanied by different emotions, it seems like I can always see others' lives. Sometimes, I feel like I'm living in another parallel world, starting to prove my existence. Sharing everything I like—food, pets, scenery—on social media. I feel content, but realize I'm not living for myself. I want to escape the real world and immerse myself in the virtual world. There, I make friends and speak freely. Until facing reality again, I understand that escapism is not the solution. The fleeting satisfaction from likes and comments made me lost, losing focus in my life. I choose to balance the use of social media, cherishing real experiences and face-to-face interactions because life's core lies in these real moments, not in the lost and indulgence of the virtual world.

The film explores the thin line between love and obsession, showing how unchecked desires and hidden darkness within a person can lead to madness and destruction.
