Beautiful Storm directed by Yanni Dellaportas. Beautiful Storm is a short film created to accompany an original music score composed by Yanni Dellaportas. All the audio, video and still images were captured in and around the Mornington Peninsula and the coastline of Victoria Australia on the lands of the Boon Wurrung / Bunurong people. Beautiful Storm is loosely based on the coffee table book of the same name, that Yanni published in 2020 that features 30 years of storm chasing photography taken around the coastline of Victoria Australia. However the film didn’t start that way. Yanni created the film to go with a piece of music he wrote and recorded under his pseudonym 'Bluzoid'. The music came from a volunteer commission he was given to create music for a dance based short film. The makers rejected this piece going with someone else’s but that didn’t stop him from fleshing out the original piano score into something more orchestral. Yanni is grateful to his musician friends Natalie Parker (tin whistle, flute and trumpet) and Sally Carter (violin) for their contribution in recording some of the melodies. The music sat on the shelf for a few years as it had no connection to anything and Yanni didn’t know how to release it. Eventually he decided to create a film to go with it, incorporating his thirty years of storm photography and moving footage that he shot over a period of ten years. Everything seemed to come together – the music, the film - all that symbolized Yanni's passion for storm chasing and our ever changing and extreme weather events as a result of climate change. It’s not a traditional narrative film with actors or characters or dialogue, but more like an instrumental music video, however it follows the three act story arc.

He is suddenly threatened by a number of "black men" who tell him to write the story they want, or they will attack his house at 11:11 and kill him - not physically - but by forcing him in in a way where he will be obliged to fulfill their needs - a way which is worse than death. Now he hesitates with the dilemma of surrendering or destroying himself before the appointed hour.

15-year-old Maya is being raised in a household stricken by her father's abandonment. Her mom Camila's boyfriend, Diego, is an abuser who takes advantage of Camila, stealing her money and landing her in the hospital. When Maya is followed on social media by a seemingly nice guy named Ray, she begins to chat with him about her chaotic life. Ray and Maya start meeting up in person, and he quickly becomes her confidant and eventually encourages Maya to run away with him. Maya slowly begins to realize he has another agenda when he starts using her to make money and starts being set up for appointments with his "clients", being brought along to various hotels and motels with his other girl Kayla. Meanwhile, her mother Camila, falls into despair after losing her daughter and overdoses. She agrees to get sober in order to get her daughter back. However, the trauma that Maya has been through does not make her return as easy as Camila had hoped. Ray is determined not to lose his money-making asset while Camila is intent on not losing her daughter ever again. Can Camila help Maya get back on her feet, or will Maya be forever lost to the dark world she has fallen prey to?

The film's main character, a man, sneezes in a concert hall and puts a high-ranking official in an embarrassing situation. Despite apologizing, the main character feels a slavish fear that ultimately proves fatal to the man's life.
